Our Team

Dr. Hamid Reza Mohebbi

President

Senior Scientist at Quantum Valley Investments in Waterloo and a passionate advocate for community development and education grounded in the teachings of the Qur'an and Ahlulbayt (AS). With more than 30 years of experience in academia across both high school and university settings, Dr. Mohebbi is among the founding members of several schools in Canada. He is an active educator and researcher in Islamic Studies and has dedicated many years to serving and strengthening local communities through education and leadership.

Zaman Alkhafagi

Vice President

An experienced leader in municipal service delivery and currently serves as a Supervisor at the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. His work focuses on strategic planning, resident experience, communications, and optimizing public-sector service delivery. With expertise in operations management, stakeholder engagement, and educational leadership, Zaman is committed to enhancing community services, driving innovation, and fostering impactful learning environments.

Ms. Alaa Namus

Principal

An experienced educator and dedicated leader committed to fostering academic excellence and Islamic values. She holds a Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and holds a Certification in School Management and Leadership (CSML) – Leading Learning.

Her teaching career includes university-level teaching assistance, Conestoga College’s LINC program, and running her own online school for teaching English for Academic Purposes. Through this, she has guided students in their academic and personal growth.

As Principal of Al-Hayaat School, Ms. Alaa Namus is dedicated to creating a faith-centered and engaging learning environment that empowers students to excel academically and spiritually.
